Business Development Executive

Overview

Reports to Vice President, Fitness Sales

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts, building strong relationships, and driving business growth. Your primary focus will be on account management, client engagement, and assisting the VP of Sales & Operations in their daily tasks. This role requires a high level of organization, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the fitness industry, CRM systems, and B2B environments.

Responsibilities


  • Account Management: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring their satisfaction, addressing concerns, and nurturing long-term relationships.
  • Client Engagement: Proactively engage with clients to understand their needs, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Deputy to VP of Sales & Operations: Assist the VP in managing the sales and operations team, including coordinating activities, conducting market research, and implementing strategies for business growth.
  • CRM Management: Update and maintain the CRM system with accurate and up-to-date client information, interactions, and opportunities.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with clients via email, phone calls, and meetings to provide updates, answer inquiries, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Collaboration with Customer Service Representatives: Work closely with the Customer Service team to process quote requests, resolve customer issues, and ensure a seamless experience for clients.
  • Site Survey Assistance: Collaborate with the operations team to conduct site surveys, gather necessary information, and assist in assessing the feasibility of project requirements.
  • Business Opportunity Exploration: Continuously identify and explore new business opportunities through client engagement, market research, and industry trends analysis.

Experience


  • Knowledge of the Fitness Industry: A solid understanding of the fitness industry, including market trends, competitors, and customer needs, to effectively engage with clients and provide tailored solutions.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage client interactions, update information, and track opportunities.
  • B2B Environment Understanding: Familiarity with B2B sales processes, customer relationship management, and the ability to navigate complex business relationships.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, internal teams, and the VP of Sales & Operations.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while paying attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive problem-solving skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and address client concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Customer Service and Operations, to achieve shared objectives.
  • Sales and Business Acumen: A keen business sense, sales orientation, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
